ABOUT US

Hearts, Hands and Voices . . .

. . . believes that all people, created in God's image, are gifted with unique skills, talents and abilities,

and therefore seeks to help participants to be reflections of God's creativity and imagination in worship and in the world.

. . . believes that the Creator deserves the best that people have to offer and the best that they can be,

and therefore seeks to help participants develop their skills and grow in understanding so that their music making and worship are both meaningful and Spirit-filled.

. . . believes that music and the arts provide vehicles for the heart and the whole person to encounter and respond to God's grace and goodness,

and therefore seeks to provide a variety of worship and learning experiences that invite participants into the embrace of God and allow them opportunities to respond as they are able.

. . . believes that everything in a child's environment speaks to the child,

and therefore seeks to offer materials that are engaging, of the highest quality, and worthy of the child's time and attention.  In addition, the program strives to present those materials through a whole person approach (body, mind, spirit, and voice) to learning.

. . . believes children learn through play

and therefore seeks to facilitate learning through thoughtfully planned games and activities appropriate to their ages.

We believe...

"every young person, regardless of ability or experience, has the capacity to engage in music and the arts. We strive to meet them where they are, and equip them to be the best they can be.

Music and the arts provide vehicles for the heart and the whole person to encounter and respond to God's grace.

Our children are not the church of tomorrow, they are the church today."

Michael Burkhardt, Artistic Director
